How it works
- Each task is a short text, a short recording or two sentences with a gap. The next task is harder or easier depending on your answers.
- It's the same test, with the same questions and scoring, that places learners in the SparkAI English course.
- Listening uses your device's own voice. If yours sounds robotic, that's the device, not the test; you can also skip listening.

Questions
How long does the test take?
Usually 10 to 15 minutes. It stops as soon as it has enough evidence, and after six tasks you can stop and see a provisional result.
What does it measure?
Reading, listening, grammar and vocabulary, each on its own, with questions at Pre-A1 to C2. Speaking and writing need AI feedback, so the course checks them separately.
Is the result an official level?
No. It's an estimate to choose where to start. If you need to prove your level to a university or an employer, take a recognised exam.
Do you keep my answers?
No. The test runs in your browser and your answers aren't sent anywhere. Only the starting level is kept on this device, so the course can start there if you join it. If you accept analytics, the start and end of the test are counted, without your answers.
