English course

Learn English, from A1 to C1

A course for people who already speak another language and want English that works: for conversations, for work and for study. It starts with a placement test that levels each skill separately, then plans lessons, vocabulary and reading around what you need most.

Choose your level

C2 has one new unit so far (six lessons), a pilot like the rest of the course: the course doesn't claim full C2 coverage until that material has been reviewed.

How the course works

A placement for each skill

The test adapts to your answers and gives reading, listening, grammar and vocabulary their own level, so a strong reader who struggles with listening starts in the right place for each.

Grammar, one idea at a time

53 lessons explain a point with examples and common mistakes, then practise it with questions you answer by choosing or typing. Lessons come back for review on later days.

Words in context

Topic decks give each word a plain-English definition and an example, scheduled with spaced repetition. At A1 and A2 the meaning can also be shown in Spanish, Portuguese or French.

Writing and speaking

Writing tasks and conversations with an AI partner, with feedback on grammar, word choice and register. Feedback helps; it doesn't set your level.

Questions

Who is the English course for?

Adults and teenagers who already speak another language and want to improve their English, from A1 to C1. It's strongest at B1 and B2, the levels where many learners get stuck.

How does the placement test work?

It adapts to your answers and checks reading, listening, grammar and vocabulary separately, so you get a level for each skill rather than one number. Speaking and writing can be checked too, with AI feedback. The result is an estimate to choose where to start, not a certificate.

What if I spot a mistake?

Each lesson in the app has a way to report it.

Does AI decide my level?

No. AI gives feedback on speaking and writing and explains wrong answers, but it never sets your level, marks a grammar point as learned or changes your review schedule on its own.
