Everything in SparkAI
A complete French course in one web app: grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening and speaking, tied together by a path that tells you what to do next.
A guided path
One Continue button
Each day the app chooses the next step: due reviews, a weak lesson, the next lesson, new words, reading or speaking.
Units and checkpoints
40 short units in teaching order, each ending with a story; a level test at the end of each level.
Placement test
About 10 minutes, adapting to your answers, to start at the right level.
Daily plan and points
A checklist of the day's plan, points for work done, and a weekly rhythm with rest days instead of a fragile streak.
Grammar
Full explanations
155 lessons with tables and example sentences read aloud, from être and avoir to the subjonctif imparfait.
Bite-sized lessons
One idea at a time, a question after each, then the examples spoken aloud and a short check.
Real mastery
A lesson is mastered only after correct answers on three separate days; mistakes bring it back for a re-test.
Explanations when you're wrong
Every wrong answer shows the part of the lesson that decides it, an optional AI explanation of your mistake, and a fresh question on the same rule.
Many question types
2,255 questions: multiple choice, typing, dictation and word order.
Vocabulary
Spaced repetition (FSRS)
5,012 flashcards, ordered by frequency and in 23 themed decks, scheduled just before you'd forget them.
Three card types
French→English, English→French (typed, with accent help) and fill-in-the-sentence.
Your own cards
Add words from reading or create your own; import from a list.
Word coverage
An estimate of how much everyday French you can recognise, with listening measured separately.
Reading
Graded stories
22 stories written for A0 to B1, with comprehension questions.
Classic books
21 public-domain French books (B1 to C2), from Les Malheurs de Sophie to Madame Bovary.
A reader that tracks words
Unknown words are highlighted; tap for the meaning, add to flashcards, and confirm words you know in a quick check at the end.
Stories written for you
The AI can write a story at your level on a topic you choose.
Listening and speaking
Audio lessons
A spoken lesson you can follow with your eyes closed: listen, repeat, and recall phrases from memory at growing intervals.
Natural voices
Neural French voices (female or male) read lessons, words and stories.
Pronunciation feedback
Read a sentence aloud: see which words were understood, your rhythm and melody, and coaching on the sounds to fix.
Vowel lab and mouth maps
See where your vowels land compared with your own reference, and diagrams of tongue and lip positions for difficult sounds like the French R and u.
AI conversation partner
Chat or role-play everyday situations at your level; corrections stay hidden until you ask.
Progress and privacy
Skill milestones
Your level is shown by what you've demonstrated: grammar mastered, words confirmed, listening accuracy, stories read, and the level test.
Honest AI evaluation
On request, an AI review of your strengths and weaknesses based on your results.
Sync and reminders
Progress synced across devices; optional daily reminders at a time you choose.
GDPR
Data export and full account deletion in the app; analytics only with your permission.
