All, every, the whole

Tout has several uses. As an adjective meaning all, every, the whole, it agrees with the noun and is followed by a determiner (le, mon, ce…).

Tous as a pronoun pronounces its s (Ils sont tous partis: touss). As an adjective it doesn't (tous les jours: tou).
