DELF B2 reading
60 minutes, 3 exercises, 25 points: two longer texts with multiple-choice questions, then matching opinions to the people who hold them.
The three exercises
- Exercise 1 (9 points): an informative or argumentative text, with multiple-choice questions (three options, one right answer).
- Exercise 2 (9 points): another informative or argumentative text, same kind of questions.
- Exercise 3 (7 points): several short points of view on one subject; you match each statement to the person who holds it.
Questions are worth different amounts (half points included), so a hard question can count more than an easy one.
How to work on it
- Read the questions before the text, then find the passage each one refers to: the questions usually follow the order of the text.
- Watch for options that repeat the text's words but change its meaning, and for answers that are true but don't answer the question.
- In the matching exercise, look for each person's position (for, against, with reservations) before the details.
- Keep time for every exercise: an unanswered question is worth nothing.
